Discussion of the startup phenomenon and support for young entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic has no shortage of interesting and innovative projects in the area of new technologies, media and IT. On the contrary, members of the Czech scientific community and young entrepreneurs are increasingly finding their way abroad. Government, academic and private startup platforms are all there to help them during their difficult beginnings, with the Czech business environment currently experiencing a literal boom in this area.
When did the startup phenomenon first appear on the domestic entrepreneurial scene, and what evolution has it undergone? What role do the state and universities play in the development of today’s startups? And does the existence of startups mean that a young entrepreneur cannot go it entirely alone in today’s competitive environment, free of any outside help?
