Craftbrut: The Default Fault

23 Feb – 25 May 2018

Craftbrut is a project by Adam Tureček, which represents an experimental approach to designing and manufacturing "useful" objects in a brutal-violent way using basic workshop tools and machines. This way of creating objects is accompanied by something that can be labeled as the default fault. It is a prerequisite for deviating from the fictitious, physically non-existent standard of the creating object. This deviation is deliberate, but not controled or random, as it might seem at first glance. It becomes an uncorrected erroneous part of the resulting object.

The exhibition will feature the entire collection of objects of the Craftbrut, Millet lamp, Flexart plates, PuzzyBox puzzle, BNNB shelf, Sweet & Sour vase, Dyad mirror and new AsFault objects.

Exhibition takes place in design shop DOX by Qubus.

Adam Tureček is a designer from AAKKFOREVER, an industrial and graphic design studio. He graduated from Umprum. He earned several nominations and awards for his work.
