Gulliver’s Travels Into Fantasy

19 Feb 2018 – 20 Feb 2019

Educational programme for the Gulliver Airship.

Where would you like to go if you were able to magically transport yourself? Would it be some familiar place on Earth, a yet-undiscovered island, or a completely fabricated world? Past or future? And what would you bring back with you to our reality?

The Gulliver airship by Martin Rajniš and Leoš Válka was named after one of the most famous figures in utopian literature – and in this programme, a literary Gulliver will transport you to its diary full of giants, midgets, and talking horses, and further yet. You will set out on an exploratory expedition through the DOX Centre; you will find out what the airship on the roof and Gulliver have in common, you will experience it from all angles, and will even take a little piece of it home. Your own diary will turn you into a little Gulliver.

In the closing workshop, you will use a magical artistic/literary formula to create a “transporter” that will take you into your own story.
