Vaclav Havel European Dialogues - Prague Conference

21 – 22 Feb 2014

The Citizen, Power and Democracy in Europe´s Crisis

This two-day international conference will kick off a project involving dialogue and debate on the direction of today’s Europe within the context of Václav Havel’s intellectual legacy. The main source of inspiration is Václav Havel’s essay The Power of the Powerless.

The project is planned as a long-term one, to take place in cooperation with various cities in the EU (for example Berlin and Bruges). Individual encounters taking place as dialogues and debates are intended primarily for high school and post-secondary students, as well as others who are interested in European issues from among the ranks of professionals as well as the general public.
