Who is a man, really? And what defines him? The ANDROS exhibition at the DOX Centre for Contemporary art features fifty artists from across central Europe, and through their works it examines how contemporary art views the male body and the uncertainty of modern masculinity. ANDROS builds on longstanding interest of the curator and writer Vratislav Maňák in intimacy, identity, and the conditions of existence in central Europe. With this exhibition he is elaborating on concepts previously introduced in his book S Wittgensteinem v gay sauně (With Wittgenstein in a Gay Sauna, 2026).
