Come and join us in welcoming the publication accompanying the exhibition Miquel Barceló and the Written Worlds.
Miquel Barceló and the Written Worlds is the artist’s first-ever presentation in the Czech Republic, and it focuses on his intense and long-standing relationship with literature. The catalog presents the artist in the same way as the exhibition, through paintings, ceramics, watercolors, bronzes, prints, and books.
The catalogue will be christened by exhibition curator Enrique Juncosa, with an introductory speech by Gonzalo Manglano de Garay, director of the Instituto Cervantes of Prague.
Before the launch, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition with the curator at 4.00 p.m.

Patrik Illo: Something Is Not Nothing
The exhibition Something Is Not Nothing presents Patrik Illo, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Slovak glass art. The title of the exhibition refers to the intensity, concentration, and paradox inherent in Illo's work.
Veronika Zýková: Foolidiot
Veronika Zýková created several works for the Polička/Shelf gallery space at the Archive of Fine Arts at DOX, transferring her usually large-format abstractions onto the surface of children's picture books.
BOOKS 6+7 Edition
The Archive of Fine Arts has long been dedicated to Czech and Slovak typography. The BOOKS series, which focuses on exceptional typographic works from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, was launched in 2014. The exhibition "BOOKS Series 6+7" showcases the two most recently published volumes.
Jiří Petrbok: Patient Diary
Jiří Petrbok’s exhibition Patient Diary focuses on the theme of self-portraiture, presenting the artist’s work from the 1990s up to the present as an unbroken record of a changing, constantly questioned “self”.
Point of View 4: Resilience
The fourth instalment of the long-term project Point of View once again presents an exhibition and a classroom in one. The artistic approaches here open up a space to slow down and pay attention – a space for shared experience. They allow us to linger with uncertainty, to think and feel at the same time, and to seek strength in fragility.
