Image and word. Art and literature. They each have their own territories, their own maps and cartographies. The exhibition Beyond Words aims to explore some of these inspirations and to show how literary culture finds an echo in the works of visual artists today.

Join us for the opening of the exhibition Beyond Words. Meet the artists and enjoy the performance of the rapper duo Genius and Genius (Anna Beata Háblová & Martin Kyšperský) with their unique repertoire establishing a new style of poetrycore.


Festival Opening: Why We Need Stories

Are we slowly, gradually, and willingly sacrificing our literary culture? Why do we need literature in the digital age anyway? Writer Bianca Bellová will discuss these questions with Professor Maryanne Wolf, followed by a debate among our distinguished guests.


Story Exchange

The educational programme Story Exchange for schools using Narrative 4 methodologies is offered in the FALL festival in three dates with discussion. Special guests Bassam Aramin and Rami Elhanan will share essential experiences.


On Tour

A nostalgic tragicomedy about the tour of the American cabaret group New Burlesque through France, where romantic fantasies collide with reality. On Tour is screened at the summer cinema on the terrace of DOX+.


KAFKAesque

The exhibition KAFKAesque focuses on reflections on Kafka’s work and poetics in contemporary visual art offering not a historical perspective of his work, but a view that reflects our present-day situation with all its complexities and ambiguities.


Francofonia – CANCELLED

Against the backdrop of World War II (or the German occupation of France), director Alexander Sokurov explores the relationship between art and power and asks what culture tells us about ourselves. Francofonia is screened in the summer cinema on the terrace of DOX+.


The Salt of the Earth – SOLD OUT

The life and work of photographer Sebastião Salgado, who for forty years documented human society in unknown corners of the world. The Salt of the Earth is screened in the summer cinema on the terrace of DOX+.
