The Archive of Fine Arts has long been dedicated to Czech and Slovak typography. The BOOKS series, which focuses on exceptional typographic works from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, was launched in 2014. The exhibition "BOOKS Series 6+7" showcases the two most recently published volumes.
Kwaidan: Hōichi the Earless
Screening of part of the film Kwaidan (1964, directed by Masaki Kobayashi), one of the best and most visually impressive Japanese classic horror films. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Petr Holý and Aňa and Ester Geisler.
MOMI: Vintage & Antique Kimono Show
The showcase of kimonos from the collection of MOMI, which focuses on traditional Japanese clothing, will be led by Kumie Holý, a professional stylist who specialises in Japanese kimonos and makeup for art and film. The showcase will be followed by a workshop that will offer practical advice about wearing kimonos as everyday clothing.
