Educational programme for the Point of View 3: Balance exhibition.
The rapid transformation of technology, means of communication, and our relationship to the environment concerns not only humanity in general, but seems to have an even more profound impact on adolescents. The age when young people search for their identity and values is inspiring in its dynamism – the quick utilization of trends on the one hand and refusing to be part of the mainstream on the other can result in various ways of seeking balance. Balance between technology and life itself, between freedom, autonomy, and the tempting possibility of becoming a driving force behind something bigger. But what?
The educational programme Looking for Balance was created through the participation of young people. The group consisted of students from various fields of study at secondary schools and universities, and the exhibition Point of View 3: Balance was offered to them as material and as an environment for creating a programme for their peers. They chose “cooperation” as their central theme and basic work mode. For the young creators, cooperation was the most inspiring aspect of contemporary art and the starting point for finding balance. An interactive programme for youth, but probably not only for them.
