Contemporary music performed by the BERG Orchestra – new season opening! Czech premiere of a monumental work Shelter by three composers and founders of the New York’s legendary music collective Bang on a Can. Heavenly sounding harmonies next to hard-rocking riffs. In the main role: a human being seeking physical and emotional refuge in the middle of nature and society.
The BERG Orchestra is an excellent Czech ensemble specialized in the performance of contemporary music. Since its inception it has commissioned and premiered more than two hundred new works. In 2021, it won the prestigious Prix Italia award for the Czech Republic for the first time in more than half a century.
