Daniel Latorre – The Wise City

11. 11. 2014

Placemaking workshop with an American digital placemaking pioneer is a part of the accompanying program for the Modes of Democracy exhibition.

This active workshop will share The Wise City* approach which weaves the layers of:

1) participatory design and local governance,

2) socially engaged art

3) citizen journalism & media.

Speculative discussion will then compare local experiences and find points of commonality for instigating or supporting local urban design or activism projects around places in Prague. This event is about growing the global network of sharing in bottom-up civic engagement practices on a practitioner to practitioner basis.

*The Wise City is a socially responsible civic engagement, service design, and product strategy practice. It's a civic production company bringing the right partners and methods together to invent the best future now. It's a network of change agents deeply focused on advancing peer to peer bottom-up movements renewing a social contract based on wise self-governance. It is transcultural, transdisciplinary, ever transforming.
